Notes:
Smooth trail and the longest ride I have ever gone on. I woke up in the morning with a headache and the headache returned during the last half of the ride. Along with the headache, every muscle in my body (so it seemed) was in pain, especially my back and neck. Towards the end, we were taking a lot more breaks, some every mile, it also seemed like the ride just kept going and going and going and going and going. Was it worth it? Sure, I passed the 300 mile mark!

Route:
Cannon Valley Trail - Started in Cannon Falls and rode about 10 mile to the city Welch, then turned around and rode back.
Comments from non-unicyclists:
"What do you do if you want to stop?" ... I wonder?
Notes:
Nice smooth trail with no hills and no wind. Can't get much better! This is my fastest average yet. It was at 12.3 MPH before me and Kato hit town, but we decided to ride slow and cool down for the last mile.

June 11, 1999: Clear to cross... in Long Lake

Start Time: End Time: Total Time: Computer's Time:
17:23 18:32 1:09 0:53:22

Route:
Colin's house to Long Lake park. Then we rode on the bike trail to hiway 65 and then took the sideroads to Lindseys. Then back to Colins.
Notes:
Easy little ride. Sometimes when crossing streets, Andy would yell clear to cross the street, but sometimes it was a little close.

June 6, 1999: Gateway Trail to soreness

Start Time: End Time: Total Time: Computer's Time:
14:35 18:23 3:48 2:00:49
Distance: Ave. speed: Ave. with rests: max. speed:
20.41 mi 10.1 MPH 5.4 MPH 22 MPH
Unicycle Ridden: Total Dist.:
Coker 36" - 150 mm 223.53 mi
Temperature: Weather:
80°F cloudy and humid, rained near the end.
Rode with:
Ryan, Kato, Cameron, Colin, Andy, Ashley, Neil, Irene, Preston
Route:
Gateway Trail - started at Mahtomedi High School and rode to the gateway trail and rode to the small park. Then we went on the rode to Stillwater. Went wading in the water, and rode on a rode that went straight back to our cars.
Notes:
Nothing like starting out already sore! Doing the night ride the night before and being in the Grand Old Days parade earlier in the day made this ride even harder. The parade was a really long one too… probably rode 10 miles on my double wheeler in that. Going uphill was a killer near the river.
